Our local trash authority invested thousands of dollars in recycle logoed garbage bags, crates, cans and a truck to collect it all.  Within a year they were caught piling the bright yellow recycle bags into the landfill along with the rest of the trash.

There is a difference between being a conservationist and a raving environmentalist.  Everybody should practice conservation, recycle, don't pollute, etc, etc. 

The environmentalists always seem to be looking for the next great non-existent crisis that is mostly political in substance.
