That's the two things people don't have when it's needed.  Food and 
water.  You'd be well off going and buying a $4/case of bottled water and 
some canned foods (with a manual opener) and keep them as well. Then you 
need not worry about days 1-3 while everyone else is panicking.  Imagine if 
NYC's water system became contaminated by some water borne bacteria.  You 
think NOLA was a mess...
