Hello list subscribers:

After working for Journal Broadcast Group in sunny Tucson for seven years, I am moving on to a job in North Carolina to be closer to my family. This opens up a great opportunity for a radio engineer who'd like to work for a wonderful company in a warm climate.

Journal has four radio stations here (and a newly-acquired ABC-TV affiliate, as of this morning). There are three FMs (a mixture of C's and an A) and a class-C AM. The transmitter sites are all in great shape, with late-model transmitters and backup facilities. Two of them are mountain-top sites with stunning scenery. One of the FMs has been converted to HD Radio and the rest will follow in the next year or two.

Best of all, the incoming engineer will arrive just as the Tucson facilities are planning a studio build-out. The radio and TV operations are to be combined in a single facility, and Journal does not cut corners on studio facilities. This will be a state-of-the-art project with nearly all-new equipment.

The folks here are outstanding to work for, and they deserve someone with a great customer-focused attitude and people skills. If you're interested, send your cover letter and resume to: Diane Frisch, GM dfrisch at journalbroadcastgroup.com

You can also contact me off-line at asherrill at journalbroadcastgroup.com to talk about the opening.
