Of course you use vi - you work in Linux, and I'm sure you would rather use
the full-screen editor than the line editor ed. :)
Since I work on M$ platforms I use Vedit. I've owned it (originally for
writing MS-DOS programs) for about 15 years, and every 18 months I pay the
support fee for it - money well spent, as my support questions are
frequently answered by the president of the company, who is still the lead
programmer for the product.
