C'Mon. The quality will improve dramatically. Haven't you heard it's
"FM Quality?" If you don't need that awesome improvement keep your
analog radio. The hissing on the signal will remind you of old time
tape hiss. Since it doesn't appear nighttime operation is an option
because of international objections nothing will change for those
shows. The real problems will come on shows that air from about 4-6pm
EST when you, essentially have nighttime operation during two daytime
hours when the jammers are still operating. Adjacent stations will
reduce WABC's interference-free coverage and WABC will return the favor.

I'm waiting for enough monster signal, high profit stations to
interfere with each other daytime. Actually, the most profitable
dayparts will be the most affected - morning and afternoon drive,
depending on the time of year. I wish it didn't take so long to
become a lawyer. I see the broadcast industry funding some of the
biggest lawyer-owned McMansions the country has ever seen.

Download Barry's interference sample and put it on your desktop as a
constant reminder of the fun to come. I realize we need data, but
even without an adult beverage antenna my little Boston Acoustics, no
IBUZ clock radio hears the same thing.

Let the games begin.
