Bernie,

I agree with you on this point.  No question that AAC sounds better at 
128 kbps or less.  And for <64 kbps, AACplus is as good as it gets right 
now.

I should point out that if you have the bandwidth (or storage), then 384 
kbps MP2 or APT-X is still the way to go.
