Hi guys...I recall seeing some after-market SAGE EAS software which can
control a number of SAGE EAS boxes, but I can't remember the name of the
company or the software. Anyone out there have that information?
Absent that, I'm looking to replace EAS boxes. I'd like to be able to
procure ONE EAS <system> for a consolidated facility capable of the following.
Control and inject station unique EAS message codes and forwarded audio
messages on up to 5 stations simultaneously (A MUST----NOTE, I'd like to
have the system capable of controlling more than 5 stations total...as in
up to 9. But not all at once)
Permit control of injection to be simple closure for each station so as to
allow analog or AES injection;
Audio out to be either analog or AES.
Have separate command closures for each station to forward any pending
messages as well as a unified (or station specific) command to trigger
weekly tests on one or more stations.
Have separate status command closure for each station to indicate a message
is pending for forward.
Message filters capable of being set up on a station and county specific
basis for each message type.
Consolidate logging to one combined log, but allow station specific
break-outs (spreadsheet compatible);
Maintain accurate time or able to access our in house IP reference clock
Permit computer or IP programming control.
Work with Beta-Brite's so as to give text commands to operations staff.
This software package as I recall did most of the interfacing with the
automation systems so that eliminated a number of problems with interfacing
the Sages to do message forwarding.
I could always go buy 5 Gorhman-Redlich boxes. But their input levels are
VERY touchy, I'm not a big fan of their unstable clock, they don't have an
internal log of events to re-print any missing events,.the software is for
programming only and last I used needed to be done on a DOS system with a
RS232 port.
Any input would be appreciated.
