Hi Tommy:
I used to work for KNEW in Oakland, California. The towers (2) are on pylons
in the San Francisco Bay at Richmond. The radials are on a ring that rises
and falls with the tide. Had a big rain storm that winter and the drain
holes in the bowl on the east tower were clogged with debris. I noticed when
the base current pegged the meter at the studio. Went out to the site and
you could have had fresh brewed coffee with the hot water we found.
Unplugged the hole and all returned to normal.
Steve
