Beware when attempting to test large chokes or transformers. They require a
fairly large magnetizing current which usually is not available from most
RLC testers or ohmmeters.
A modulation choke is a fairly extreme example; with an ohmmeter, you should
initially get one reading, but it will almost immediately start to slowly
change to a different value as the core magnetizes. After all, it is a
reactance. You don't expect a large capacitor to immediately show it's final
reading, do you ? It takes a finite time to charge up; a choke does,
too.........
My guess for this xmtr's mod reactor would be under 100 ohms with most
ohmmeters.....
