Interesting that in broadcasting there are also old boatanchors hanging on.
how do those old rigs (eg. the 1927 weco) sound? to the trained ear, is
there anything to distinguish them from a new s.s. rig? when wgn first
went to a dx50 i thought i could tell a difference in the sound but i wonder
if i was just imagining something.

thanks,

rob atkinson

I know WNBZ 1240 AM in Saranac Lake NY has a Gates from the early 1950's as
their main (and I believe ONLY) transmitter.
