  I think tht is a good note.  Sometimes such info is in the manual for the transmitter, often hidden.
   
  However, I think the choke measurement is a red herring due to the audio hum and low audio.
   
  And that with all the DC current flowing thru it, it would be really physically hot if it had 900 ohms of DC resistance!
   
  But I appreciate the input personally for the sake of completeness....had not thought about Mr. Dahl.  But not had a big transformer or inductor go either for a long long time.
