Well, I have no working knowledge around this model, and while I have
experience with others, I do not know how stable the basic unit is for one
thing. And, two, are the circuit constants broad enough to work up in the 
high 1600's?  It would be no bargain to me if I had to replace all of the
constants.  I have an old RCA BTA-1R1 that was trouble enough and yet 
did not cost me much.

And to your MW-1 Doug, while a pretty box, I think that you might have
you share of costly issues for just a plain ham radio box.  Not sure,
but some of the techs who I know who have worked on them have found them
a bit labor intensive.  No actual knowledge though.
