What? Honesty in the media? Was that the fan in the room or an imaginary
fresh breeze wafting through?
I hope Donna gets some input. I, unfortunately, cannot give her any on this
one.
I ran a BBS for years. It was a 2-node operation I started when in Oregon
and took it to Dallas when I moved there. At any rate. I loved DOS and
apparently it loved me. I became very good with it. Wrote some great batch
files (the heart of a bbs) and did some amazing tricks. Oh, and Deskview,
and QEMM and Lantastic. I could do no wrong. Thanks Dana for jogging that
one back for me. I had lots of fun with the BBS. When it became a chore,
which took about 10 years, I took it down. Kind of a sad day for me. I love
the Internet but somehow a BBS had a different kind of magic. Sorry Barry
for the blast-off into the past here.

I Have known Donna for over 20 years. She is one of the MOST OBJECTIVE
people
I have ever known! She is also brutally honest - TOO honest for some in this
(somewhet sleazy) business.

I am currently writing another article for the Prophet website about a guy
from New Zealand who has been in radio for many years and has seen lots of
versions of Prophet products, some of which he liked better than
others. By the way, Doug, if you can offer me some paid work, I'll write
for you too! :)
But if you are curious about THIS request, I really did tell Barry I would
help write an article about logging software-- I asked about DigiLogger
first because they just came out with a new version; but my experience
writing these things is if people use some other product, they will usually
tell me they tried X and didn't like it, or they prefer to use Y.
Barry and I have worked on articles about all kinds of software-- I wrote
the NexGen article for his publication (Radio Guide) and I *don't* think it
was a puff piece, nor did Prophet ask me to write it. Again, those of you
who have been interviewed by me for articles-- I would hope you found me
accurate and truthful. If you said something was wrong, as in the article
I wrote about today's engineers, I wrote exactly what you said. I can
write PR if I have to, but usually it's for a company
website-- historically, I've written articles about all sorts of
companies, and those articles have not been one-sided as far as I can
tell. This one won't be either.
