Quite so. However, that covers just the 'hits'. Most of us bought the
albums and/or listened to the 'B' sides and had many favorites that never
even had air play 'back then'. Resurrecting a good deal of that would be
fun. We probably have not heard some of those tunes for 40 years. Nor
that's 'oldies'!
Another problem with oldies stations is the ugly over-use of modern
processing. The tunes sound worse, just in a different way, than a jukebox
'45 that has had 1000 plays.
