I have to give you credit either for your testicular fortitude 
(thanks Gene Burns) or the incredible quality of the weed you're 
smoking to suggest such a thing in contemporary broadcasting. The 
only time a meter goes to 0 (unless it's a VU meter) is when the plug 
is pulled.

They used to burn people at the stake in Salem for saying such things.
