that's what I mean.  somehow, for a real jock, the whole seems bigger than 
the sum of it's parts.  At least to me.  You can play the "right" song at 
the "right time" and say the "right" thing the "right" way... and still be a 
big, boring failure...  which, NO, I am not saying you are, I'm pointing out 
the subtle difference between a real jock and a computer program... one 
acts, the other emulates.

IMHO, being number 2 right now is great, (congrats!!)
but it *might* also just mean you've offended less people than #3 did...
At least, during the last book.   Hmmmmmmm....
Winning through non-offense.  It can't work.
There's got to be some specific 'something' you do right, and that can't be 
found anywhere else on the dial, if you want to do "real radio" and still 
pay the bills.
At least that's how I kinda think.

(Remember the old Dan O'day school of removing flavors from the menu at the 
ice-cream parlor?  Pretty soon, all that was left was vanilla, because it 
was the least complained about...)
How can you win like that??
