[BC] Local pronunciations & Uncommon Names

SC has Horry county: OH-REE, where Myrtle beach is located.
SC also has Due West, Ninety Six, Jalapa, Walhalla, and Round O, to mention
but a few cute names.
Years back, Proffessors Claude & Irene Neuffer at the University of S. C.
published a periodical called _Names In South Carolina_, one large-ish
issue of which was subtitled _Correct Mispronunciation of Some Proper Names
