I was in 5'th or 6'th grade when my family visited WICC, and my favorite DJ,
"Frank Derak" was spinning the hits. He ran the whole show... answering the
"Instant Request" calls, recording them for airplay, etc. When I saw what was
going on "behind the microphone" I was smitten. The Radio Bug bit me, and boy,
it bit me good! Little did I ever imagine it would actually become a career.
