At KSFR the only processing used was a Fairchild Conax.
These were not normally used for broadcast but rather in conjunction with
vinyl mastering lathes! Did we sound great. On this custom built console you

The Fairchild Conax was also manufactured for FM Stereo roadcast stations
agreed it was originally for the the RIAA curve and the stereo disc cutting
problems.

WRR-FM went on the air in stereo originally using a Fairchild Conax stereo
version. We later added a Gates Stereo Peak limiter.

Had a manager that wanted FM to sound like AM especially since the AM was
duplicated on the FM 17 hours daily to avoid messing with the FM processing I
bridged the output of the AM compressor AGC which was a Gates Level Devil,
loaded with "Thump".
