At my first station, the morning guy got a request for a commercial. He
told the caller that we only took requests for songs. She answered, "You
still play those?"

A few years earlier a couple guys at the station put together a special
program that featured shortened songs. I remember one was the Carpenters'
"We've Only Just Begun." There's an instrumental intro, then "We've only
just be..." splice here "gun" instrumental outtro.

They did a whole show of songs like that.
