That may be OK fer yoo big city folks (I were won). Now I'm saddled
with Charter communications with no local HD. Just yesterday I drove
60 miles to buy a Channel Master 8 bay UHF antenna and preamp. I have
one HD station that's VHF, so I have to combine a Radio Shack log
periodic with the new UHF to feed my Samsung HD tuner. The preamp has
separate UHF and VHF inputs.
Since my last attempt to install a roof antenna resulted in a Fire
Department rescue, the new ones are in the attic. It has a dormer
with a window facing the right direction. I never realized how steep
and slippery a large Victorian house roof can be.
Is anyone in a position to get Comcast to buy Charter, so I can feel
less bad about paying for cable service?
