[BC] HD AM radio versus AM Stereo

Nope!

By far the best FM stereo system was an FM on FM system (Crosley?).
It only degraded the s/n by 6 db (as opposed to the 23 db degradation the one
we have does). Its only problem was that it was incompatible with SCA's, and
the industry wanted that $$$ at the time.

America's broadcast record of screwing up everything technical is
unblemished!

We tested the Kahn system at KFRC in San Francisco. During one of the tests
we went up into the Sierra's and even though our signal by then was iffy you
got it in stereo. That's what I liked about the Kahn system. If you could
get the signal it WAS in Stereo. The rest is history. Well at least we've
done one thing right (as far as I know and if I'm wrong please correct me)
the best system for FM Stereo was the one that won the prize and was
accepted by the FCC.
