The Optimod may be enhancing distortion from the recordings, or unmasking
(making more noticable) the encoded audio noise reduction from the Adobe
Audition.
I love Audition, but Sound Forge has a better vinyl restorer. Any processor
is going to exaggerate artifacts in the audio and sometimes, noise reduction
tricks become evident under heavy amounts of processing. Which Optimod is
this?
