It's good to see that we're not alone. Interesting that you make this
comparison, as niether of those magazines hold any interest for us, so we're not very
familiar with their style or content. Confesion: We have picked up an issue
of People while waiting at a Dr's office now and then, when there was nothing
else there. (It's better than reading the ingrediencts on a chewing gum
wrapper, but not by much.)

I hadn't thought of that, but you're right. Now and then, I have read
articles that were interesting & informative. The thing I miss the most, though, are
the *detailed* listings. Every channel and every program was listed. Most of
them also included at least a partial description of their content that was
more than a 10-word sentence. What we have now is virtually useless. It only
lists from 7-11pm, Mon-Fri. It gives a "generic" *partial* listing of "daytime"
programming. Worthless. Absolutely worthless.

As someone else mentioned, the only reason we're getting it is because it's a
gift. I'm going to ask my Dad not to renew it anymore. It's a complete waste
of his money, now. Even though we watch a lot less TV than most folks, having
a *useful* TV guide did actually help contribute to increased viewing time, as
we could easily find programming of interest to us that fell outside of the
7-11pm time slot! (Talk about vapid.)

Now that I find fascinating! I'm sure he's totally changed his tune now,
though.

Thanks to everyone who's posted on this thread. I look forward to more
insights from my fellow Broadcasters.

Merry CHRISTmas and Happy Hanukkah to one and all!
