No. I have a different take on this. Yes, celeb news, dirt, the papparazi,
are of interest to many people. Most people who go to the Outback Steak
House
go there for steak, or go to an Italian restaurantf or pasta or pizza, or
Red Lobster for seafood. All of these restaurants offer a variety that
often includes dishes other than their main fare. What if a group of people
goes to a seafood restaurant and some don't like fish. You get the idea.

IMHO, I liked the old TV Guide. The new one gives the illusion of being
bigger and bigger is better. More for your money. If the new TV Guide gives
me more dish on the soaps, I'm riding the train to the last stop. Soap Opera
Digest and the Soap cable channel are great for catching up and getting the
inside scoop. If TV Guide can enhance that experience, they have my money.
I do feel a loss over daytime TV coverage since that is when my favs are on.
Having three TiVO's saves my day, gives me something to look forward to
when I get home (except for Desperate Housewives which is on at the right
time).

I can see this moving to AF about now...
