[BC] iPods & Sirius

A couple of observations.

This afternoon I stopped by the local Apple store. They were packed!
Parents with their kids and twentysomethings on their own. They weren't looking at
the computers. They were checking out the iPod displays. One had a clock
radio with an iPod dock. The only other person who looked at the radio while I
was in the store was a gent like me of advancing age. There had to have been
at least 20 people in the checkout line. All in all, a profitable day for
Steve Jobs.

My travels didn't take me to any other electronics stores. So I can't tell
you if the competition was also busy.

As for the Stern question/contest posed by Bill Sepmeier a week or so ago,
Sirius is tracking how many Stern-related new subscribers they have. My nephew
received a Sirius receiver for the Winter Holidaze. He went online to
activate it. Virtually the first question was why he decided to get Sirius.

Hmmm. I predict 1,237, 934 new subs for Howard out of 3, 163,801 new subs by
January 30th.
