One of my first stations had a similar slogan "When you read it, it's 
history. When you hear it on (W-such and such), THAT's NEWS. However when I got there 
the station was so technically unreliable go off the air even if a nearby 
spark plug arced over, we internally modified that slogan a bit. "when you read 
it it's history, but when you HEAR IT on (W such and such) THAT'S news!
