I haven't seen the sales figures but it's been a major seller since
the day it was released. You'll even find it programmed in formats
you'd never expect. Some things just last.

Bing Crosby's White Christmas was first on the Top40 Chart in 1954 and
reached number 13

It was released again in 1955, 1958, 1960, 1961 and 1962.

The 1954 version was actually recorded in 1947 and to me sounded slightly
different than the 1958 version (sounded like it was rerecorded).

All releases were on the Decca Label #23778

I have some of the original 45's here at home...


The Original version was by "The Ken Darby Singers" and John Trotter's
Orchestra and hit #1 in October 1942
