You have a Nems-Clarke that is far older than Nov 2004 yet you do
not keep a quality publication such as Radio Guide for reference?
On the other hand, this can work to your advantage. When you
approach your manager about selling the Nems-Clarke, point this
out. Tell him/her that you don't even save trade journals that
long and look how old this FIM is. If you sell the Nems-Clarke,
the proceeds can be put towards the (down payment) purchase of a
new digital Potomac FIM. It is solid state so tube costs vanish,
it uses commonm batteries, it IS supported by the manufacturer,
it has built in GPS so you cannot get lost. This means less time
on the road, more time in the station, less fuel/maintenance costs,
greater accuracy in readings, less weight, and you will be happier
and more productive and motivated by having the latest technology at
your fingertips.
