The best use instead of throwing them out would be to use the 120D for an
air monitor.

We used to have a remote engineer who found out the field set would work
well in buildings where he couldn't receive the AM station. He would set it up
orient it to the station and feed it into the air monitor headsets. Even in
noisy locations he usually could find an area inside the building that it
would do a good job and sense it was battery powered, run the audio back down a
hall to the remote feed point for an air monitor.

Also many years ago a station I worked for had a pretty shabby of air
monitor. I had always wanted to replace it but never found anything at a
reasonable cost. We got a new morning guy and he wanted off the air in his headphones
and could not stand the air existing monitor. Manager and PD called me in
and said fix it. Temporarily I hooked up our FIM and the guy was happy.
Tried several receivers and the FIM was still better. Finally got the manager to
buy an AM RF Amp and a modulation monitor for the studio everyone was happy.
 Got the FIM back.
