[BC] Achieving good S/N

This must have been the 3 speed model between the 2 speed (changed by a
little knob that was the top of the spindle) and the 750s; they had a lever
to change speeds and a combo worm gear and belt drive; the small V belts
were probably the source of noise, especially if they had hardened with age
(got one of each)...........
These older Fairchilds weren't really terribly heavy, even compared to the
RCAs........
