The salesperson should know a great deal about your needs. My
approach has always been what's called counselor selling. By knowing
what the customer needs you're better able to meet those needs, sell
the product and keep a loyal customer.
I've written a lot of ad copy in my time. The most successful is the
stuff that filled a need. That's one of my enormous frustrations with
IBUZ. No one gives a rat's posterior about what the customer needs.
When you're driven by Wall Street, there's rarely much hope. I've
come to the conclusion that the industry, before the interference
makes radio unusable, needs to concentrate on something else.
It appears to me that nobody really cares.
