Unless you have some kind of a service shop.... I have stocked resistors,  
parts and connectors for building small box stuff for years. Mouser will  ship 
oneseys and twoseys, but you're right you have to wait unless you wish to  pay 
premium overnight shipping.
 
Newark has a major distribution center somewhere in North Carolina, Im'  told.
