It appears to me to be very effective advertising. Just look how much
attention it is getting on this list alone!
Many stations have been listed on ebay in the past. It is the best "for
sale by owner" listing you can get for a few bucks.... before you decide
to let go of the big bucks on commission with a broker. I have seen
dozens listed over the years.
You can sell a station on ebay - but your lawyer will have to do an
asset purchase agreement and follow up with a transfer with the FCC to
complete the deal.

Perhaps ... but not everyone knows you can't
ship a radio station in a small trunk.
