Yup!

I don't know why, but folks seem to ignore the fact that cell
phones are radio devices. What do they think, that there is a 
long invisible cord connecting the gadget to a phone jack?

At least in the comics 60 years ago they called it a "wrist 
radio" if anyone remembers Dick Tracy. <g>
