Actually, in Haiti, the word is spelled Kreyol or Kreyole. The "k" is quite
prominent in the local usage, and accents are not.
Pot whipping is the "technique" of rapidly potting up and down music between
sentences and pauses in a disk jockey's patter.
"It's 5, 59 at the Big 8" (music potted up briefly) "where the temperature
in Stinkville is 87 (music potted up briefly).... etc.
At one station I know, in the early 80's the music channels on the board
were fixed level so this could not be done.
