I was just wondering if anyone else is having problems with data
transmissions on Cingular's network.  I just spent an hour on the phone with
them and was finally able to get them to tell me that they are having
problems.  They are saying that since the merger with AT&T, they are
upgrading AT&T's cell sites and not all of them are capable of data
transmissions.  In one of our areas we are noticing much higher signal
strengths but can not place data calls.  Cingular also says they have no
date as to when they expect to have all the old AT&T sites upgraded.  I
asked why they didn't notify users that this was going to happen and their
only comment was it would cost too much to send out notices to all users.  I
was wondering if anyone else is having similar problems or might have
additional information.
