The first car I owned was one that my dad got on auction from the City of
Panama City.....a 1955 Plymouth.... It was the car that the city building
inspector drove and it originally had a Motorola 2way with dynamotor in it.
(6v system...can you say AMPS?)

The car had a Leece-Neville alternator with a bank of large selinium
rectifiers mount on the wheel well under the hood. Never had a problem with
a dead battery ;)
