I believe that was the standard punishment for people only interested
in VHF/UHF. Since this is a family list I won't describe what
happened to those interested in microwave, packet and TV. I had to
triple lock my doors in New York when I tried to work MIR. I got a
response from MIR on packet but couldn't tell anyone, especially with
my exalted history as Fidonet Amateur Radio Echo moderator.
Now that I've experienced the dangers of Victorian roofs I've begun
using a tuner instead of cutting the antenna every time I change
frequency. I suspect I'd wear out my welcome with the Fire Department
if I changed too often. The unofficial directive would be "push him off."
