[BC] The essential minimum

Amplifed butt set...same thing.  I have also found the Sony 7506's to 
be very good passive devices for "bridging" circuits.  Their x00+ ohm 
impedance is good for that.  You can hear a signal at -20 very well.  
In fact, +4 is painfully loud. A simple 1/4" jack with a pair of clip 
leads on the T and R.

The only drawback is they are VERY sensitive to DC or voltages higher 
than 24.  Lets just say that telco battery is not good for them... When 
I build my next clip lead, a 100uF 100V cap will go in line with each 
side.
