Bit Buddy and the associated signal generator are very neat..  Too  expensive 
for me since I have not been involved with that much digital.  I  understand 
there is an audiofile  D to A converter in a small box that has  AES, SPIF=Dif 
to audio outputs in a small box with a pair of headphones works  fine.  
Trying to find out model and price.
