    Here is a real outside the box thought:

    What if Derek, and DRE, worked with a manufacturer to take the DRE 
data stream, and instead of the encoder supplying a composite feed, it 
supplys a 10 watt signal, that has its digital subcarriers wrapping 
around the main analog channel? Like, um, Ibiquity? He then sells the 
exciters. Period. Knock yourself out with what you want to so with it.

    All we need is one manufacturer to do this.

    Would it not be nice to have two competing IBOC/IBAC systems?
