The trick with the ME-1 was to jump out the diodes and use the transistors
driving them to do the clipping...
The clipping LEDs didn't work properly when you did this and you had to be
careful to not bias the transistors into conduction but set up properly...

The FB-5000J would certainly get up and dance. Especially with a Harris ME-1
that arrived months ahead of the MW-5
