VSWR trips if sidebands didn't have a 1:1 VSWR, too! Cumbersome power
adjustment settings, also.

Haven't been repairing TXs too long even though I've been in radio most of my adult life, but would have to ditto re: the Omni. 
The one I have to deal with is a bit more stable than what I'd conclude by the above quotes, but having to remove a front panel
to access the power adjustment pots is the pits.  Moreover, the front panel power adjust doesn't work outside the high power 
mode and the status indicators quit working when REMOTE operation is selected.  There may have been worse ones in years gone
by, but fortunately I haven't had to deal with them.  I wouldn't mind a Gates Vanguard just for my collection, though!
