[BC] Re: Comments on the direction of the SBE

The SBE, like all membership organizations I've ever been involved with,
is governed by elected officials.  I recall reading candidate
statements, before voting, in which they expressed their vision for the
organization.  I voted for those whose visions I most agreed with.

On several issues I've spoken with or corresponded with SBE elected
officials, committee members, and professional staff. We didn't always
agree, but on each occasion they were responsive and courteous. I've
gotten involved in areas I consider important, as have many others.

If yo don't like the direction of the organization...  let people know.
 Discuss your ideas with fellow members at local meetings. Write a
letter or essay and submit it for publication in the Signal.  Encourage
those who agree with you to run for SBE office, or run yourself.
