         With WHA, 6SN, KQW, and others,
         there were many three letter calls until
         it was stopped in 1930.

         The original question still stands though:
         Did Bartell try to change KYA to KDBQ to
         be a "sister" to KCBQ and decided it
         wasn't going to work?
