I've been listening to both. Actually I've spent more time in FM than 
AM. I was part of the original team that put WJIB (FM) Boston on the 
air. I recorded the bells. I programmed KFOG (FM), San Francisco 
(from Boston) before moving on to FM music syndication at TM, then 
Noble at XTRA. I was part of the team that put XTRA-FM on the air and 
syndicated music formats for FM. I then moved to program WPIX-FM, New 
York. I was in FM before it was fashionable to be in FM.

I'm told it also has first adjacent problems but I haven't heard 
them. I hear artifacts and wonder if they'll be much worse when 
secondary channels are used. The real serious problem will be 
nighttime operation on AM and, as more stations light up, daytime 
will have problems, too.

Good idea. I'm sure that'll get young kids flocking to Limbaugh, 
Savage and Hannity.
