Ignoring Rich's crystal ball, I wonder if there were two primary EAS
stations. I don't know enough about EAS, so I apologize if I'm advancing
this theory and it's preposterous to begin with.
Would there be two EAS primary stations since half the market is in
Kentucky and the other half is in Indiana? My suspicion is one of the two
(or THE, if there's only one) primary EAS station is WSTO-FM, a Class C on
96.1fm, licensed to Owensboro, Kentucky. I wonder if South Central
Communications had the building staffed at all over a weekend overnight.
I'm not accusing South Central of negligence. I'm just thinking out loud.
