Several programs come out of Detriot,  I think maybe The Shadow.   I seem

recall the staff announcer Fred Foy's voice on several programs,

the Lone Ranger.  Also for many years later,  Mutual Sports  all

of Van Patrick's radio station in the Detriot  area.

The story I heard was:
Van recorded his Mutual sports feeds on a 350 and the machine playback was started by a timer.    The 350 then played directly into the Mutual line. 

I don't know if the 350 story was true, I was told this by someone who worked at the station at the time.
