Thanks to everyone who gave advice regarding our remote broadcasts in Las
Vegas. Here is how things worked out;
Team one at the Wynn had unrestricted and dedicated lines in each room. We
were able to do three straight days with out any troubles. Great connection
rate almost every time! 4 Hours a day times 3.
Team two checked into the Flamingo. No unrestricted phone lines, no help at
all from the hotel staff. This was an absolute disaster.
We moved them over to the Stardust and had the most fantastic help getting
the remote set up. The last two days of the broadcast went well from there.
They set us up with a great phone line and were extremely helpful.
It just goes to show that what people tell you what you are getting doesn't
always translate into what you get. Of course getting to a remote site early
enough to adapt to any situation is almost a necessity.
Now if they had sent this engineer along, there wouldn't have been any
problems!
